Michael Peter Simon (Sept. 15, 1968-Dec. 29, 2016)
Michael Peter Simon, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away suddenly on Dec. 29, 2016, at age 48. He was a loving and devoted husband to Kelly (nee Whalen), adoring and proud father to Ashley and Danny, beloved son of the late Tom and Katherine (née Conley) Simon, and son-in-law of Tom and Sheila Whalen and the late Karen and Bill Town. He will be forever missed by his siblings Tom (Sue) Simon, Sue (Mike) Walters, and Jean (John) Lawlor. Brother-in-law to Tom (Shannon), Kevin, Patrick, and Timothy Whalen, and Paul (Carrie) and Scott (Ashley) Town. Jokester uncle to Jarron, Logan, Ellie, Tommy, Mick, Rylee, Kaylee, and Grace. Mike loved his Cubs and Bears. Larger than life, he brought laughter, love and cheer to all of our lives.
Visitation Monday, 3:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect. Visitation continues Tuesday, 9:00 A.M. until Mass 10:00 A.M. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Main St. (Rt. 83) at Lincoln St, Mt. Prospect. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
